The purpose of this blog is to share my thoughts and feelings regarding my journey through life. Some posts may be more general in nature, while others will dive deeper into my experiences with relationships – family, friends, and romantic partners.

All posts are a reflection of my opinion at the time of writing and will encompass a wide variety of topics.

Much of my writing is conversational in style and my blog posts will be reflective of imaging you are sitting across from me in a coffee shop and I’m telling you of my life – thus, My Journey Blog. Plus, for those who have read Maia’s story (the book), much of emotions and even some story lines come from either my own life or of people I knew very well.

My purpose in getting so intimate, and vulnerable, in putting my live story out there is having learned that others often find comfort in knowing they are not alone in their experiences or thoughts. And at times, knowing where I’ve been, the good-bad-ugly of life I’ve trudged through, provides inspiration that there is always hope.

Throughout this blog I will share my thoughts and feelings regarding my own life’s journey. As time marches on and this blog builds out with content, there will be five categories of posts.

• General: primarily about my past and family
• What I’ve Learned as a Woman: speaking of my experience from a woman’s perspective through the maiden and mother periods and how I feel / am treated now entering the crone period.
• Writing Journey: specific to the challenges of writing, and sense of accomplishment in achieving a goal.
• All the Ships: focusing on what I’ve learned about relationships through all aspects; dating / romantic, friend, work, and even some cross-over with family.
• Into the Void: this is when I just want to scream into the void about my hopes and fears regarding life in general; what I can control and where the fast-moving car appears to be dragging me.

All posts reflect my opinion at the time of writing and will encompass a wide variety of topics.
